In the report he sent to the government in Venice after the end of his service, he simplified the causes of Istrian crises in the new century. He connected the appearance of banditry with the “negligence” and “laziness” of the population, which “hardly endures efforts” and therefore prefers to provide means of living with weapons rather than working on the land. Many nobles from the Bembo family lived in Pula.
There is also a monument nearby stancija Bembo, commemorating the establishment of the first battalion “Pino Budicin” founded in 1943, which represents the struggle of the Italian people of Istria against fascism.
